We offer Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and Registered Midwife opportunities across four Graduate Program streams- General, Perioperative, Mental Health and Maternity. Offering permanent employment and lots of variety, we have Full time or Part time (minimum 0.8 FTE) roles available, nation-wide and at multiple sites.

After your graduate year

Our leadership teams are committed to growing our workforce capability. As an early career nurse, we offer tailored career development through an additional Consolidation Year.

Our national network of hospitals provides the chance for you to work interstate, in a variety of sub-acute, acute and mental health facilities

Our Executive Teams collaboratively support staff movement across hospitals and states to encourage ongoing development and experience.

General

Healthscope offers registered nurses (RNs) and enrolled nurses (ENs) a range of general stream combinations

Full time or part time options (minimum 0.8 FTE)

2 x 6 month rotations PLUS a consolidation year to further support your growth and development

• Rotation to one of your three preferred clinical areas, where possible. May be in either rotation 1 or 2.

Paid onsite orientation including:
Supernumerary days (may vary in length for specialty areas)

 Preceptor support model

 Paid study days

 Ongoing clinical support and regular debrief

Perioperative

Healthscope offers registered nurses (RNs) the opportunity to complete a Perioperative Stream

Full time or part time options (minimum 0.8 FTE)

12 months with rotations across:

• Scrub/Scout
• Anaesthetics
• PACU

PLUS a consolidation year to further support your growth and development

Paid onsite orientation including:
Supernumerary days (may vary in length for specialty areas)

 Preceptor support model

 Paid study days focused on perioperative nursing

 Ongoing clinical support and regular debrief

Mental Health

Healthscope offers registered nurses (RNs) and enrolled nurses (ENs) the opportunity to complete a Mental Health Stream

Full time or part time options (minimum 0.8 FTE)

12 months with rotations across various areas of mental health nursing (dependent on availability)

PLUS a consolidation year to further support your growth and development

Paid onsite orientation including:
Supernumerary days (may vary in length for specialty areas)

 Preceptor support model

 Paid study days focused on mental health nursing

Discussion Groups/Supervision:

 Focusing on skill development and guided reflection processes

 Ongoing clinical support

 Eligibility for credit towards post graduate studies at Melbourne University

Maternity

Healthscope offers registered midwives (RMS) the opportunity to complete a Maternity Stream

Full time or part time options (minimum 0.8 FTE)

12 months with rotations across (dependent on availability):

• Post Natal
• Birth Suite
• Special Care Nursery

PLUS a consolidation year to further support your growth and development

Paid onsite orientation including:
Supernumerary days (may vary in length for specialty areas)

 Preceptor support model
 Paid study days focused on midwifery practice
 Ongoing clinical support and regular debrief

• Complete and submit your online application form via our website
• Please note that all Graduates must have obtained their AHPRA registration before day one of the program

• Complete your video interview in your slippers when it suits you!
• Behavioural interviews will be conducted at site or via Zoom and give you an opportunity to meet our team based at the hospital you’re most interested in joining. Come prepared with your questions, we’re looking forward to meeting you!

• Successful candidates will be offered a role shortly after.

• Send through all of your required information via our online system
• Join us in person for two days to explore more of what Healthscope has to offer, get to know other graduates and prepare for day one at the hospital

• Join your new team onsite where you will attend a site-based orientation and learn more about your role!
