We offer Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and Registered Midwife opportunities across four Graduate Program streams:

General

Healthscope offers registered nurses (RNs) and enrolled nurses (ENs) a range of general stream combinations

Full time or part time options (minimum 0.8 FTE)

2 x 6 month rotations PLUS a consolidation year to further support your growth and development

  • Rotation to one of your three preferred clinical areas, where possible. May be in either rotation 1 or 2.

Paid onsite orientation including:
Supernumerary days (may vary in length for specialty areas)

Perioperative

12 months with rotations across:

  • Scrub/Scout
  • Anaesthetics
  • PACU

PLUS a consolidation year to further support your growth and development

Thinking About Applying?

We want to make the experience of applying for a role in our Graduate Program as easy and seamless as possible. Below you will find some information about eligibility criteria for our Graduate Program, things to have to hand if you do decide to apply and information about our selection process and timelines.
 

Eligibility Criteria & Considerations

  • Australian working rights
  • Completion of a relevant nursing or midwifery course within the last 6 months OR anticipated completion at least one month prior to commencing with us
  • Willingness to commit to a minimum of 30 hours/week, a rotating roster including AM, PM, night, weekend and public holiday shifts

  • Australian/New Zealand passport
  • Australian birth certificate and drivers licence
  • International passport and relevant visa documentation
  • Your two most recent summative (final) student clinical placement reports*

* Please note: 

  • If you are an enrolled nurse your report will usually include the 10 EN standards and a feedback/comments section including final sign off around if the placement was successfully completed or not. Your clinical skills checklists are not required

  • If you are a registered nurse your report usually includes the ANSAT tool and the feedback/comments section including final sign off around if the placement was successfully completed or not


Our Recruitment and Selection Process


What can I expect after applying?

  • Complete and submit your online application form via our website
  • We will be in touch soon with an outcome via email
  • Face to face behavioural interviews at sites.
  • Our interview will have a mixture of questions relating to motivation, behavioural and skills-based aspects
  • During the interview there will also be an opportunity to answer any questions that you may have
  • Outcomes from the interview will be communicated by phone.   
  • Successful candidates will be offered a role and receive a contract shortly after
  • As a part of the recruitment and selection process, we perform a number of pre-start checks. We ask successful individuals who have been offered a role to send through all of your required information via our online system
  • During this phase we will also communicate with you regularly in the lead up to orientation
  • Join us in person for two days to explore more of what Healthscope has to offer at our dedicated orientation days
  • Get to know other graduates and prepare for day one at the hospital 
  • Join your new team onsite
