NSW COVID Response
Last updated: 11 August 2021
More information about the call to action
The COVID emergency is escalating in NSW, increasing pressures across the health system. The NSW government has asked Healthscope to urgently provide support for its mass vaccination centres at Qudos Bank Arena and Sydney Olympic Park.
This is a call to action for team members to put their hands up and play a part in responding to our health emergency, just as our Melbourne colleagues did last year when their aged care was in COVID crisis.
Clinical team members who have had two COVID vaccinations can put themselves forward for one of the roles:
- Volunteers will be trained and paid
- All safety equipment will be provided by the NSW government and we will support your fit-testing before you go
- Two week (up to four week) rotations are expected
- Locations include the Qudos Bank Arena and Sydney Olympic Park with reasonable transport costs covered
- The team at your site will back each other up so you can help our community
To register, please contact the person at your site who is coordinating our response (details should be in your email if you are a NSW team member, or ask your manager or GM).
