Team

Name of Team : Specimen Services
Person Representing Team : Rachael Jenkins
Site : Labtests

The Labtests Auckland laboratory process 12,000+ samples per day. Each sample is treated as though it belongs to a family member. Specimen Reception is the first point of contact in the lab and everything it does, determines how the remainder of the testing process will follow. Staff will work together to assist other departments where possible and have a great sense of 'team'. Following the Christchurch Mosque shootings and to show support to the Muslim staff in their team, the specimen reception staff prepared a shared lunch and encourage staff to wear scarfs in solidarity.
