| Name : Denyse Coutts Position : Clinical Nurse Specialist Department : Catheter Laboratory Site : The Mount Private Hospital Denyse continually steps up and takes on new roles and challenges. She has performed roles such as CN, SDN, clinical advancement coordinator, CNS and TAVI coordinator with meticulous attention to detail in service delivery.. Denyse is leading the TAVI program developing modules, protocols, education and processes to ensure safe delivery of patients through their procedures. Communication and adherence to protocol to deliver a patient safely is closely monitored by Denyse. She personally assesses every patient, completes all Data collection requirements, presents each case and nurtures these fragile clients to a favourable result. The outcomes for the hospital is an effective functional TAVI program that has has met and exceeded all requirements to maintain accreditation and ACOR registry results evidence quality practices and required outcomes. | Name of Team : Parkwynd Ward Nursing Team In 2019, Parkwynd management made a business decision to operate as a 6-day surgical only facility. The ward supported the change of business model to improve hospital efficiencies. Staff have embraced and are positive about the changes and the future of Parkwynd. It is encouraging and reassuring that Parkwynd staff have belief in the management team's decision making and have supported this transition. They have also taken this opportunity to educate and multiskill three members of the support services team to work across departments as required. The support from Parkwynd's employees has been very uplifting for the management team, to know that staff have faith in the decisions made, that are not always easy and worked together to ensure a succesful outcome for the hospital. | |
