| Name : Stefanie Carapetis Position : Physiotherapist Department : Allied Health Site : Flinders Private Hospital Stefanie consistently goes above and beyond her duties as a physio. She is often implementing new or improving services, and writes up the Quality Actions to support these. She developed the Direct Anterior Arthroscopy exercise booklet, knee arthroscopy video and also evaluated our orthopaedic service for patients receiving bi-daily physiotherapy treatments. Stefanie is very passionate about her role, always up to date with the latest initiatives, communicates these with the team and across ACHA sites She provides excellent and up to date evidence based care for her patients. She is consistently evaluating the orthopaedic service she provides. She is a much valued and necessary part of the Flinder Private Hospital physiotherapy team. | |

| Name of Team : PCC Sleep and Settle - Paediatric Care Centre It was recognized that the Gold Coast area had a need for parents to have an infant sleep program. The paediatric care team, led by the Nursing Unit Manager Emma Gerrard, have initiated, developed, advertised and implemented a sleep and settle program for infants under the age of 12 months. The program follows the evidence based Murdoch Children's Research Institute and The Royal Children's Hospital Centre for Child Health Care infant sleep program.The program runs for 3 nights in conjunction with the paediatricians from Leading Steps. This team have initiated a program that is providing a service and meeting the needs of the local community. The success of the program is testament to the vision of the nurse unit manager. | |
