Healthscope has confirmed that Tino La Spina has ceased performing the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Tino was appointed Chief Executive of Healthscope in February 2025 and led Healthscope through a challenging 12-month period. During his tenure Tino was a passionate advocate for Healthscope staff and patients. Healthscope thanks him for his contribution to the organisation and wishes him well for the future.

The Healthscope Board has appointed Nicole Waldron, Healthscope’s Chief Operating Officer, as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Healthscope. Nicole is a highly respected operator and leader with an outstanding reputation in the healthcare sector.

Nicole joined Healthscope in November 2021, prior to which she was Chief Operations Manager at Epworth Healthcare. Nicole began her career as a nurse at Royal Melbourne Hospital, and brings a wealth of experience in hospital leadership and operations, in the for profit and not for profit sectors, and the public and private hospital systems.

The Healthscope Board and Receivers McGrathNicol remain committed to delivering a For Purpose Healthscope, as they consider it is the best option for patients, the industry and the broader community.
