Nepean Private Hospital redevelopment unveiled

Healthscope’s Nepean Private Hospital’s $37.7 million redevelopment was officially opened today by local MP Ms Karen McKeown, OAM.

The new three storey development includes new and refurbished operating theatres, day of surgery admissions centre and main reception area. The new development will also house 17 new consulting suites, a new café and car park.

Healthscope CEO, Greg Horan said “Investing in our hospitals enables us to deliver an even better experience for patients, and a great working environment for our people and doctors.”

Nepean Private Hospital’s General Manager Jay Jiang said “It’s fantastic to see the completed redevelopment. The enhanced volume of patient services we are going to provide will meet the demand and the needs of a rapidly growing population, I’m really excited about the next stage.”

The redevelopment work has taken close to two years to complete. The expanded facilities will allow more patients to be treated at the hospital, boosting health services in Western Sydney.

Nepean Private Hospital provides a full range of surgical and medical services supported by the latest technology. It has served communities in Greater Penrith and the Blue Mountains for 23 years.
