Pain in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis

To be called a scoliosis there must be at least 10° of angulation of curve evident in the coronal plane on a plain radiograph along with evidence of rotation of vertebral bodies. This is often only noticed clinically, usually by the family, when the curve is already well past this threshold. A curve of 10° is barely perceptible clinically and is often a radiological finding only on a chest x-ray taken for other reasons.

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr Tim Sinclair to the Healthscope team as the General Manager of our Nepean Private Hospital. Tim is a passionate and experienced health professional and was most recently the Executive Director, Operations at the Sydney Local Health District. Tim will lead the multi-million dollar redevelopment of Nepean Private that will reaffirm its position as one of Australia’s leading private hospitals. Away from work Tim is kept busy with a five and three year old, and also enjoys time on the open road on his motorbike.
